Receiving Location Aware Messages on KMaps enabled Phone

You may receive Location Aware Messages form the other KMaps users during the course of your Location Aware Collaboration with them. For example, your friends, family members or coworkers who are also KMaps users can send you Location Aware Messages from their KMaps enabled phones. Location Aware Messaging Services can be found in Collaboration Location Service. You can access Collaboration from KMaps Search screen menu as soon as you start KMaps. This method can be used for a quick new message check.

You can also access Collaboration from Location Services Panel after you find your initial address in KMaps. Accessing Collaboration in this way gives you the ability to include the location in the eventual replies to the received messages thus making the replies location aware.

Select "Check For New Messages" Service.

The list of new Location Aware Messages, collected from KMaps server will appear.

The new messages will automatically be stored in your KMaps Inbox and removed from KMaps server at the same time.

You can always access KMaps Inbox later and view the messages again and reply to the messages or delete them if needed.

If the Message you received is Location Aware, meaning the sender has attached his location to it, you can display this location on the map by clicking "Map It" button. You can also click "To Here" button to get the directions to this location from your current location. You can also select this Location (using Select option) and save it to KMaps or even to your Contacts. This way you can fully utilize Location Awareness of the received Message by performing various Location Services on the location attached to it.

After opening new message and reading its content you may want to reply. Hit "Reply" button. New Message Screen is displayed with "To" field populated with the recipient nickname.

Be aware that all Location Aware Messages exchanged among KMaps users are anonymous in nature.

The recipient of the message will only see nickname you chose. You may choose different nickname every time you are sending a message. Make sure that you use a known nicknames or your real name when messaging with the people you know so they could figure out who sent the message. If you are sending message in response to a posted Dating Profile in KMaps, you may want to stay "hidden" behind your nickname until you decide to reveal more of your contact info to the messaging party.

Hit "Send" button to send the reply. You may receive reply on your reply message and so on. You can check for all new messages in the same manner as above.
